Madison County Bowling
Association
Board Of Directors Meeting
December 11, 2006 @ 5:30 PM
Harvey
Poynter called the meeting of the M.C.B.A. to order. The board discussed the
city tournament. The team event was set
for February 3rd, 11th and 17th at Galaxy and
the doubles and singles was set for February 4th, 10th
and 18th at Maroon Lanes.
Galaxy is charging $7.00 for lineage per bowler and we will ask Galaxy
to hold 16 lanes for the tournament using the lower lanes first so each shift
will have fresh oil. The board set a
rule that a bowler who wants to participate in the city tournament has to have
bowled at least 21 games in any league at Galaxy or Maroon Lanes including
women’s leagues. Entry fees were set at
$15.00 for team, doubles and singles events and $5.00 for the all events with
100% return on the entry fee minus lineage. The board also decided that the
bowlers will use their highest current Madison County B.A. average with 21
games or more as of February 1, 2007.
Women who do not have 21 games may use their Madison County Women’s B.A.
average of 21 games. Gary Kerns said he
would be willing to put up $250 and we could try to get other sponsors for the
tournament. The board discussed getting
sponsors for the tournament and giving prizes.
The board also talked about putting banners at both houses to advertise
the tournament. The board set the next
monthly meeting at Galaxy on Monday January 8 @ 5:30 P.M.
