Madison County Bowling
Association
Board Of Directors Meeting
September 5, 2006 @ 6:00 PM
Harvey
Poynter called the meeting of the MCBA to order. Harvey asked the board if our association would want to send a
team to the state tournament. The
members discussed sending a team to the state tournament. It was suggested that our association pay
the entries of 16 bowlers and the members who went to the state tournament
would have to attend the KY State association meeting. The board voted to pay for 16 entries and
the bowlers having to attend the state meeting. Chad Bischof told the board that the Bad Bowlers League would be
holding a no-tap tournament on Sept. 23 at 5:00. He said the tournament was open to all bowlers. The board discussed what type of tournament
to hold for our next tournament. Harvey
suggested a scotch doubles tournament to be held at Galaxy and Maroon
Lanes. The board voted to hold the
scotch doubles tournament on Saturday Sept. 23 at Galaxy and Sunday Sept. 24 at
Maroon Lanes. The board voted to remove John Beranek from the board of
directors because he isn’t bowling this season and hasn’t been attending
meetings. The board voted to have Chad
Bischof join the board of directors. The
members discussed talking to the Bad Bowlers League about becoming members of
the United States Bowling Congress. Jack
Noe announced to the board that Maroon Lanes would be holding a tournament
every other Saturday. The board set the
next meeting for Oct. 3, 2006. The
meeting will be held at Galaxy Bowling Center at 6:00 PM.
