President Harvey Poynter started the meeting by suggesting we increase the
number of directors on the board by five. He stated there were four asking to
join the board of directors and we have one opening and also said the only
expense would be buying association shirts for the new members. He also
suggested that we no longer pay the state tournament entry fees for the members
who attend the state bowling association meeting at the annual KSBA tournament
since we will have so many board members. The board voted to approve the
increase in the number of officers and directors on the MCBA board of directors
to twenty. Six directors terms expire on August 1, 2011. Amy Mayrhofer, Carl
Daniels, Ben Conner, David Norman, Billy McGuire and Renda Roberts. To free up
another spot for a new director Harvey suggested making Renda Roberts a
honorary director since she won't be back bowling on a league until next
season. The board voted unanimously for another two year terms for Amy, Carl,
Ben, David and Billy. The board also approved the change for Renda from director
to honorary director. Harvey then asked for nominations for new directors. The
nominees are as follows: Jenny Morris, Julia Landreth, Gary Holtzclaw, Robert
"Peanut" Johnson, Tyler Morgan and John Poynter. By an unanimous
voted each nominee was voted onto the board of directors. Harvey discussed the
income and expenses of the association over the last 6 months. The association
paid out around $900 than was brought in during that time. The association has
brought in more than $1,200 from 50/50 pots and brackets. More than $600 has
been brought in from USBC local dues. The current account balance is $1,102.
Harvey stated that we paid out $200 in bereavement donations. He also told the
members to let the bereavement committee, Beverly Shearer and Judy Poynter,
know of any deaths of association members and their immediate families so they
can take care of getting them the donations. The board voted on several
motions. The board voted to increase the association manager's salary to $500
and the President's salary to $250. Voted to pay the 2011-2012 USBC state and
national dues for the board members. Voted not to pay for state tournament
entry fees for the KSBA state tournament next season for the members who
attended the state board meeting. Voted to buy association shirts for the new
board members. David Norman, a member of the Hall Of Fame committee, presented
the board with the HOF guidelines. He said the committee had three nominees in
mind for the next meeting to vote on. Buying a plaque was discussed for putting
the HOF members on to be displayed at Galaxy. The board voted to buy the
plaque. A HOF nomination forms will be available for all bowlers in the MCBA to
make a nomination for next year. The local Senior Tournament was discussed.

over. The board set the tournament for Monday March 28 at 6:30 PM. The board
